I have searched for information on how the farmers changed out the bushings on the kingpins. Removeing the bushing and replacing them is not a problem, but they are undersized and need to be reamed to 1.250 inches. When I tried to ream but got a misalignment. How do I fix it?

I was trying to find out how the work was done on the farm without a machine shop.I know that any thing can be solved with enough money. There must be a field expeident method that could be used without a machine shop,to align ream the bushings.

Thank you, did Ferguson have a reamer made for this purpose,or was it a avaiable item of the 50's ?
