2tractors 09-28-2012 06:52:05 207.144.5.133 Report to Moderator	My 35 standard gas displayed it's wear after 15 minutes of work. On crank up it pegs the oil pressure gauge and after time it falls to the red zone, the temp. gauge stays cool!! Please don't tell me it's----!! [Reply]   [No Email]

maxwell99 09-28-2012 13:59:05 208.78.252.120 Report to Moderator	Re: Please don't say--- in reply to 2tractors, 09-28-2012 06:52:05   i would try another oil pressure gauge. remember: no oil pressure is the fastest way to ruin a good engine, second fastest way to ruin a good engine is over heating. maybe the valve that controls the oil pressure is stuck. You do not need to run the engine until you are sure you have oil pressure. If you do not know how to fix it, have someone else look at it before you ruin a good engine. it does not take long to ruin the engine with no oil pressure. i use shell rotella diesel oil 15w40 in my 1957 T0-35, this oil still has the zinc in it as oils did have back in the day. old tractor holds good oil pressure and runs like a top. I changed the oil today with havoline 10w30(on sell at O' Reilly $1.99 qt.) and haven't cranked it. I'm not wanting to hear mains and rod bearings but a plastiguage will tell all.
