Bob Mc 09-25-2012 13:32:01 75.107.0.38 Report to Moderator	I went to Choctaw, OK the other day and look what followed me home. My wife said if I feed and clean up after it I can keep it, she's a great gal! It ran terrible, then I checked the firing order and reversed #1 and #4 plug wires, now it runs great. It doesn't smoke and the compression was 130, 125, 130, 135. Everything seems to work ok except the position lever won't raise the lift arms, but the draft lever will, and the generator(12v) isn't charging. I didn't think $1400 for the tractor plus a 6 ft. box blade and a draw bar was too bad. The engine, front sheet metal, steering box and some other items are going on my other TO 35 that I'm rebuilding. [Reply]   [No Email]

The Control Lever linkage needs re-setting so that the Position Control will work properly. The position lever doesn't feel like it is connected to anything. I'll have to pull the Rt. side inspection cover and see what is going on inside. The decision to part it was tough, but my other TO35 has a cracked block between three of the cylinders and a bad crankshaft, but it also has a duel clutch. I've also put a new front axle assymbly, new hyd pump, and a heavier lift cover with 3" lift cylinder on it ( the old 2.5" lift cylinder broke). I'm leaning toward just swaping engines because of the duel clutch and the fact I've already replaced so much other stuff. I do agree though, it is a pretty nice '55 TO35 to part out. Price seems pretty good, I gave $1700 for mine (a '59) with a Davis 99 loader (thought it was a 101 but since changed my mind) which has since come off. I had an experience with mine like that. I found also that if the draft lever is in another certain spot the position control will work backwards. - good luck-ed   [Reply]  [No Email]
