Just arrived back this morning from our quick tour of 5 more states in the US. Enjoyed meeting with some of you at the Booneville show, I brought some 35 decals for a British 35 but no-one claimed them!!!! We all really enjoyed the friendship and the tractors at this show. Monday we went on a tour of the Hesston MF factory, well worth the visit to see rolls of sheet metal straightened out and turn into a combine/baler or a swather was just something else. Tues we travelled to OK to see an excellent private Ferguson collection which includes a tractor mate baler currently in pieces for renovation.Wed we travelled to Pittsburg tractors in TX spent 4 hours in their parting out yard, getting those little bits to complete our American Fergusons, We were like kids in a sweet shop (SORRY ....candy store!) suitcases suddenly got very heavy! Well worth a phone call if you are needing parts and the owner and workers couldn't do enough for us.Thurs we drove through ARK and Hill-Billy country to get to Steam-o-rama in Republic/Springfield MO again another great show though it was wet on Friday morning. It was just like the rain we get at home so we did not mind. Back to St.Louis Sat for our flight home to Northern Ireland.
Thank-you all for your hospitality and sorry if I missed any-one. Now to start saving again........

Hi Sam: not sure how I found this site but glad to hear you are back home safely. We had a good ride home as well and no problems with importing the 2x16" Also got an original 16" HF share for a single furrow plow. Sorry we didn't get longer to visit but you are a busy (and popular) guy to corner. Tomorrow off to our Ontario IPM
Will see some great plowing there.

Now there's a good idea! Check off 5 states at a time, every show you attend, in ...9 and a half years you got the country covered. Hawaiian and Alaskan FENA shows are very unlikely...
So those decals were for my 35 with the Standard? I have the North American hood and grill tho.... it is back on the repair track, another guy told me to just send the injectors someplace else, it may turn out to be a runner afterall. So European MF parts were the big score?? That's like shipping coal to Newcastle eh?
You flew directly to Northern Ireland from St Louis? Around here, there are nearly commutor shuttle 'Boston - Shannon' flights. Sometimes very low cost, kindofa 21st century backpackers budget route.... how many F40's and French spare parts can you get in a rucksack???

You got it Tony ....31 states now under my belt! Flew out Dublin-Newark- St Louis.....Flew back St Louis-Washington-Dublin...just it worked out cheaper that way. Suitcase held one complete nosecone for a 1080, one set of grilles for a super 90 , six headlights, some with the little eyebrow hood still on! 8 or 9 gauges all original, one rev counter plus, plus, plus all those small switches, knobs etc that just go to finish off a restoration. All in all a good week-ends fishing!!! Oh and the clothes....well they made good padding to ensure no glass was broken en route!!!

Samn40 I think the emblems for the standard were for me but I didn't make the show. If you email me direct and if they aren't terribly expensive I will pay you for them and you can then send them to me. What does the hood emblem have on them?Is it the MF35x or just MF35? Mine is a standard gas.

Sam,

It was a good show indees. By 10:00 am there were still few people around and I had an 9 hour drive back to Cincinnati, so I had to leave befor I got to see you all on Sunday.

Will you please e-mail me the names of the gent that did the tractor build with you? I remember Jackie and you of course, and John, but forgot his last name. I am clueless on the forth.

Thanks
Jeff

Sam It was a nice to have met you at Boonville. If I knew you were going to Pittsburg I would have invited you to stop by for a cold Beer and some Texas Bar-B-Que. I live 40 miles from Pittsburg near Paris, Tx. Anytime you need any parts from USA I'll be glad to find them and ship to you.Hope to make it on the next trip to Ireland if there is another trip to Harry's hometown.Mickey Keener(F40 Row Crop)[email protected]
