Recently I purchased a hydraulic pump rebuild kit from http://www.reliableaftermarketparts.com/atl/default.aspx so I could overhaul the thing and get it working proper. The kit came and 99% of it was okay. The brass cam blocks were a terrible fit so I called the customer service number to find out my options.
Rude. Accusatory. That was the first 60 seconds of the call and it wasn't coming from me. Having worked in CS for years I was able to maneouver the phone rep into actually talking to me but was unable to resolve the situation to my satisfaction(they require the whole kit returned and not just the defective parts meaning I have to disassemble the pump). I also have a feeling that they intend to say that my cam is out of spec and their kit is fine so I'll be photo-documenting everything as well as taking caliper measurements before sending the kit back.
