serial number formula

on the serial number page 1937 doesn't work with the formula for finding the year. this is on Case tractors.1st and 4th numbers minus 3. doesn't work for 1937. thank you.

Are you sure your Case is a 37? In 38 Case went
to a 7 diget serial no. then it was the first two
numbers then subtract 4. Then itwas changed again
in 1953.
