I won't do bussiness with them again.I called and bought a muffler for a John deere tractor. The wrong muffler arrived. They said to bad that's what you ordered. They would take it back if i paid the shipping and a restocking
charge.

You really have to check and recheck your part numbers before you order anything nowadays. 'Course 'they' never make mistakes, and the shipping and re-stocking fee is so high that they know most folks will just say to heck with it and keep it.

RTP is set up to ONLY sell to legitimate dealers. Are you a dealer? If so, you are filing business taxes and claiming the profit from the difference of buying wholesale and selling at retail or higher prices. You can claim that wrong part on your business income taxes. It is not direct money but you can show it as a loss and reduce your tax burden by that amount which is essentially money in your pocket.

If you are NOT a dealer but are pretending to be to buy wholesale, you should be the last one whinning about getting the wrong part. Look what you are doing? If we get screwed when we are doing something wrong, we should never complain.
I am hoping you come back and confirm that you are a bonafide dealer by providing you dealer name and business license.
If not, you have potentially bigger problems coming than getting a wrong part and having to keep it.

Yes,i am a used dealer, but what's that have to do with bad service? You don't need license to be a dealer.Riley's prices on most stuff is retail anyhow.I only buy certain things from him.

As I said, if you are a dealer and file your taxes as a business, you can write off the cost of the faulty part including frieght and tax. It is like money back because it lowers your tax burden by that amount.
I never offered that as an excuse for bad customer service.
But, unlike a retail buyer, you can recover almost all of your money and keep the part to sell to someone that can use it.
RTP price book is wholesale based on what you pay for most of those same parts at retail dealers and outlets.
Most dealers order in quantity which lowers your price even more.

Your lucky, I bought a part from Emison Farm Equipment in smithville, arkansas , it was the wrong part I took it back, they keep part, 4 weeks later they called and said you dont get your part or money back $92. and ome change. Now I will not do bussiness with them again.

Ah yes good Old Rileys tractor parts . I USE to deal with them to the tune of a couple grand a month Till they screwed me on a radiator and would not make good on it . and that was like 11 -12 years ago. All i can say is that Pat should be thankful that i have not been even close to his home or i would have gotten my 278 dollars back and a little interest to boot and also see if i could make that China pice of junk fit where the sun does not shine and Dr. won't touch. At one time i even thought of having the wife great uncle from the big city stop by and have a little talk with them . Uncle Paulie always asked me if i had someone ah youa noah liked as he would fix it as he usually had a special going in the City as he would say we ah break ah arm an ah leg two hundred fifty dollarah But i already gave Pat 278 why put more in to a piece of JUNK . Just spread the word.

Riley bought out a guy near sidney ohio that made second rate battery doors and boxes for JD tractors.I guess he can sell that kind of junk and still sleep at night.
