Even after the Judge ordered him to pay me what he owes me, Justin Click still hasn"t. The Judgment is being transferred to Indiana. Papers will once again be served to him and a lien will be put on his home. One would think it just easier not to be crooked.
 
The judgement's the easy thing.Collecting it can take years or maybe never.The law is on the crooks side.
 
It can appear to be on the crook's side, especially if they do not own very much. However, if they have more than one vehicle or home, you can get their attention pretty quickly by placing a lein on those items.
Depending on the state, you may not be allowed to take their ONLY vehicle or ONLY residence.
 
The lien first, wage garnishing next. The law allows 6% interest too. Crooks assume people will get tired of haunting them. I don't let crooks walk. Fewer of us should.
 
Many crooks already know the system. They dodge the liens by not owning much. Hard to get blood out of a rock.
With wage garnishing, some of them will opt to get a job paid in cash. If you discover this situation, you may contact the IRS. If they are stuffing money in to a any type of bank account, the IRS has the right know where it is coming from. Chances are they will also owe all or part of the income taxes on that cash income.
But be prepared, they will flee the area if the pressure gets too high and then you have to try to get someone to locate them.
 
Not a problem. He works for a serious tractor collector George Schaff, Justin Click has several pieces of big iron himself. He buys and sells big pre 1930s stuff. A close buddy of his is selling on YT. Pretty soon he will be a liability to his employers and tractor selling friends. I just have to keep his name "Justin Click" out there so people know who they are dealing with when they meet him.
 
In Iowa, when you have a judgement and the looser still refuses to pay, you go back to court and ask the judge for an execution of a judgement. I would think most, if not all judges don't like scofflaws. The looser is not notified of the precedings. Normally the first notice the looser has is bounced checks if the Sheriff was able to take the money from his checking, or shows up to seize property of fair market value to satisfy the judgement. Leins are easily cancelled by bankruptcy.
