I purchased a JD 730 gas from ------ ------, he had clear pictures of it on line and described it honestly. He delivered it when he said he would. Smooth transaction.

Yep he is one of the very few that can buy a tractor from a seller that describes it accurately, fairly and stands behind his word.

I must be quite the devil also as "someone" might say. You and I have had numerous transactions Harlan, weather it be toys, parts or whatever and I am ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS satisified!! And I will continue to keep doing business with you in the future. If Im a devil then so be it, Im an overly satisifed devil. :) Keep up the good work Harlan. I'll be talking with you someday real soon. I know another guy with a yellow tractor that he got from you and he is overly satisfied as well. He must be a little devil as well. ;) Like I said keep up the good work!!

Never bought from you, don't know you, therefore I can be unbiased and objective.
I said this once before and I will say it again.
If you spent the time and effort with the sales that did not go as well as you do trying to show how some people are happy, you would have no problems to speak of.
This business has edges that connot be avoided. Tractors look and drive different to different people. One person could care less about a little repaired area for instance, while another is not going to accept it. These things cannot be avoided.
What sends the red flags up is when a seller WILL NOT reply to a buyer when there is a problem. There should never be any delay in getting back to someone that has a problem, issue or question about a purchase, even if you do not initially agree with their concerns.
I do not know many sellers that delay depositing the checks, so just keep it syncronized.

Yes, there are a few buyers that are impossible to please, or just want to keep beating you down on price. But you will not be red flagged if you can show where you honestly tried to solve the problem. When you duck out, it is an invisible admission to guilt, no matter what the case may really be.
This a tough, hard business that requires excellent and honest communications to keep the red flags down.
If someone is not willing to put in that kind of effort, maybe they should seek another means of income.
There was a guy around here that used to buy and sell tractors and equipment. If you called to purchase, you ALWAYS got him or got a quick returned call. But if you called and had a problem, you would either never get a call back, or, if you got him on the phone, he would say he would call you back and never did.
The word finally got out to enough folks that he could no longer make it selling tractors, what a darned shame too. He was "doing good", as far making money. LOL
Some folks today have it backwards. Profit is never garanteed, but it is what is left over only AFTER the seller has taken every possible step to make sure the buyer is getting what they expect.
Try it, my bet is that your problems will be greatly reduced.
