Purchased a Zanes' Jig to set the position and touch controls of an 8N that has been in the family since new in 1952. Tried adjusting per FO4 manual without any real success.
Following Zane's instructions, installing a new pin, tightening/straightening linkages and using the jig resulted in an extra easy repair that worked correctly first time with no additional fine tuning...in spite of moderate wear slop I couldn't get out of the linkages.
Zane's Jig saved much aggravation and was a worthwhile investment.
