Tractor advertised as good runner, drove 750 miles to pick it up. When I got there, it hardly ran at all. Seller said he would send me parts to fix supposed problem, plus a $500.00 refund. Haven't recieved it yet, and seller won't answer my phone calls, or return messages.

If you actually went to look at the tractor, why'd you buy it? Why didn't you get the parts and/or the refund right there? It was a long way to drive but you still had the option of not buying it, at least at the price you paid. The seller doesn't have much incentive to do anything but he could send the refund and parts to save his reputation. Dave

The tractor was already bought and paid for. Seller agreed to include the parts and refund at the time, and after the tractor was loaded on the trailer, then claimed that the parts were still on a motor he had, and couldn't easily be taken off at the time. (Injector pump, and injectors). He offered to UPS them the next day or two with the refund check. I RELUCTANTLY agreed, fearing nothing would ever show up, and it hasn't. He kept saying that he would send them TO PROTECT his reputation!

He certainly could have gave you the $500 when you were there. You bought the tractor before looking at it and when you went to pick it up, it wasn't in the shape stated? You could have told him you want it fixed before you take it. Talk is cheap. After driving 750 miles to pick it up, you could have stayed overnight while he fixed it. He sounds like a bit of a shyster. Injection pumps aren't cheap to rebuild. My neighbor was quoted $3000! Maybe you can look into fraud charges for him misleading you? He had to know it wasn't running right and it would take a couple days to drive 750 miles for most people. Good luck Dave

Yes, we stayed overnight, but he didn't offer to get them removed for a couple of days. He also claimed to not have his checkbook, and lived 20 miles away. I was caught between a rock and a hard place. he kept claiming that it ran good earlier in the day. Live and learn, I guess. Everyone else had better beware.

Send him a letter that you'll be taking him to court and see if that wakes him up. 20 miles isn't that far away. Dave
