I bought two proofmeters from YT source and both failed before making 100 hours. One for a Super Dexta and one for a 4000 Ford. (F4000-93 hrs S Dexta 53Hrs) Both continue to count hours but needle quit showing RPM. Both had twitter in needle from start, not a jump but unsteady twitter. Replace the 4000 with new FNH part which is perfect. I have NOT replaced the S. Dexta, looking where made. Don't want a free replacement. I want a good tach.
Doesn't take three purchases to recognize a trend. Two proofmeters that fail before 100 hours for similar failures is a trend. Do not need to add another $70 to the $250 already spent. The proofmeters were not made in Britian or the USA, the country made was a clue to quality.
The MANY MANY MANY other YT parts were of decent quality-decent price. Will buy again. Quality of proofmeter/tachs is what it is. 100% failure in less than 100 hours for this customer.
