Would appreciate hearing from parties who have bought items or have had tractors restored by this company including items on recent auction sale
 
Im not sure about Dan himself, but I had his brother Kent do a Minneapolis Moline for me 20 years ago & he didnt even paint the bottom of the tractor, also , I had the serial # tag covered with duct tape so it wouldnt get painted over & he claims the tape was stuck so good when he went to take it off, the tag came with it, it tore the corners of the tag open where the rivets go through, to me it looked like he got a screwdriver under the tag & just ripped it off. I had to end up using some sort of adhesive to stick the tag back on the tractor. Needless to say, I will NEVER have him do anything for me again
 
Dan does a great job restoring tractors. Very knowledgeable, and does outstanding work. I've personally talked to Dan, visited his shop, and viewed tractors restored by him at Two-Cylinder EXPO. I would not hesitate having a tractor restored there.
 
my friend had them restore a tractor,he has had to hire an attorney and sue them because of all the things that were not done as instructed,they would NOT STAND BEHIND ANY OF THERE WORK, they had the tractor for a long time and charged an ennormous some of money,my friend has a rather large and unique collection. Dan Peterman tried to even have his mother make excuses for his work,his articles written in two cylinder magazine are disgusting as what he writes and what he does are totally different,his website is also very misleading, there are some very good honest people who professionally restore tractors,we would advise anyone to be very carefull with this company.
 
WE GOT WORKED OVER VERY BAD BY THESE PEOPLE, THEY CHARGE AN ENNORMOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR WHAT THEY DO AND DO NOT DO WHEN THEY DO A RESTORATION.THE ONLY WAY TO DEAL WITH THEM IS TO GET AN ATTORNEY,THEY WILL NOT DO ONE THING TO WORK WITH YOU ON FIXING PROBLEMS, THEY LIE ABOUT THINGS,AND TRY TO BLAME OTHERS FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE,IF ANYONE WANTS TO JOIN IN OUR LAWSUITS CONTACT US.

I can’t believe anyone would say anything like this about Dan. I have known him for 3 years and I do know that he does excellent work. If he didn't do good work he wouldn't have so many tractors lined up to restore. As for those who think he is expensive, what are you comparing him to? He charges about half the price of a John Deere mechanic for labor. The only reason I could think of why your consider he is expensive is because he will use only the best paint products. Good paint is expensive. Maybe its time for a few of you to come out of the stone age and realize that good things cost money. Sure you can buy cheap paint and slap it on yourself. That’s if you don't mind your tractor to have the luster of a cardboard box. The thing that sets Dan apart is that he is a perfectionist. He takes the time to do the job right. That’s the reason why he specializes in rare tractors. Don't be so quick to judge someone you don't know. I would highly recommend him if you want a tractor restored perfectly and you would like to meet one of the most knowledgeable people in the antique tractor community.
