I don't know any of the parties involved in this but can say by everyone's response Mr Cunningham
probably has lost a lot of potential customers.I'd never buy anything from him.So the guy gave him the wrong part number--we all make
mistakes how much better off his business would have been to have graciously refunded the purchase price of the carb.

I have been saleing and buying parts on Yesterdays tractor web site for five years. This is the first time i have had eny trouble. And that is all i have to say on this matter.

Ed, I know I sent you money for an IH hydraulic pump and you have yet to send the pump or the money back. You have said you would refund the money several times but now about two months have gone by without the money or pump.

I don't even know the man but can see a bad deal here. As far as discrediting your reputation, you're doing a very good job of that yourself! What's the big deal? Exchange the carb or return his money. It's not a huge amount and might go a long way to try to help your reputation. By the way, look how many others agree with Ken. Most people don't want the reputation of a scheister but as an honest and fair businessman. They tend to stay in business longer that way. Just think how good you could have looked had you exchanged the carb right away. Probably would have sold ten times more. Now when people see this, they'll be be leary of dealing with you and look elsewhere. I did not do this. You did!

Ed,

I have a business of my own and in the course of doing business you have customers that get the wrong product for one reason or another and return it. I understand some things like electrical are probly not going to be refunded but I see a carb as something that should be if it is in the same condition you shipped it to him.

It doesnt even matter if Ken gave you the wrong number. If Ken is willing to pay for the shipping both ways then refund the money. In the long run it will pay off and you will be happier knowing you did the right thing.

First I ask for a Carb for A300/350 . I ask about a part # that I have on my work computer 200 mi away . But don't you know what carb will fit a 300 farmall and you have been selling parts for 5 years here . You do not have a phone # that I can find and You will not return My emails . I have a carb that will not work. All I want is my money back or a Carb that will work . You will not try at all to resove this Ken B.

If you are worth anything at all you will fix this problem. Trade for the right carb and be done with it. If not, you’re not worth doing business with.

I agree. Exchanging the carb or taking it back and returning the payment will go a lot further to boost your image than looking for an excuse to do nothing. Even a good auto wrecker will give warrantees and refunds if the part is wrong and returned in the same condition. Bad ones might give credit but that's useless if you only need one part. One of the reasons Wal-Mart is so popular is because they have an excellent return and refund policy. They want to keep customers happy so they will come back. It's called customer service! Sadly it's not very common anymore. Dave

Parts buyers it sounds like this guy needs to be put straight or needs to be run out of business. It is funny how a hundred dollars or so is so important to someone as to ruin a reputation or maybe he never had one to begin with. GOOD luck Ken

Whats so complicated about this deal? Ed takes the incorrect carb back and sends Ken the correct carb. Then everyone is happy!

I'd be mad too if I paid $125 for a carb I couldnt use!

I don't want anybody to get mad or anything like that, so I'll just let you know how my dealing with Ed went. About 3-4 years ago I did some trading with Ed and got a tractor from him. We met halfway in DesMoines, Ia and the tractor was just as he described it and I've been very happy with the tractor ever since. I don't want to belittle your problem or anything but I'm just letting you know I had a fair deal with him.

Most every crook has had one or more "deals" that went well, either on purpose or by accident. A first time bank robber has plenty of folks that will tell you he has "never robbed a bank before."
A crook is a crook, no matter how many "satisfied" customers they have.
With that said, there are usually 3 stories, the seller's, the buyer's, and the real truth. Most times one side matches the truth, but not always.

You have every reason to be upset. I looked at the picture you put in "help identify", and that carb is absolutely NOT for a 300 or 350, and what is more, anyone that would represent that carb to fit a 300 knows very little about tractors and should not be selling tractor parts.
