504 Fast hitch

have a Farmall 504 with the fast hitch. My question is how does the draft control work? I can't see where the torsion bar would connect to. It also does not have the top bracket for the top-link for the 3 point hitch so I assume it was with a 2 point from the factory.

I don't understand your questions, if you are asking if a
504 could have a fast hitch "not 3 point" yes it could . I
have seen them both ways 2-3 point and farmer modified is
also possible. At the time these tractors were made all
things were options, so it could have had a standard
drawbar like a farmall M.

Don't think the fast hitch had draft control. The three point is top link sensing so I don't see any way the two point fast hitch could have draft control. My 504 parts book shows the fast hitch as an option but no draft control linkage is shown. HTH.

If it is 2pt fast hitch,I think there is a notched handle to the left side of the seat. That is how a 340 utility is,and,I believe so would a 504.The handle can raise up or down to be set for different draft loads. The draft control is all mechanical. For it to work properly you need a fast hitch plow.If you are not plowing you don't need draft control. If you want to use 3pt hitch equipment, there adapters made that have a frame between to the lower links that has the top link built on-sorta like an upside down U.Mark. PS: someone just put a diagram on here on a post to L Fluer which shows the draft linkage on his 340u.

The two point fast hitch does not show any draft control mechanisms, like a previous poster stated. Strictly top link draft control on those models and of course, you can't use top link with the fast hitch.
