hydraulic pump

have a 2424 international with a international 2000 loader. the hydraulic pump needs replacing. how to determine if pump need to be turning counter clock wise or clock wise.? do the hydraulic lines connections determine whether it is counter clock wise or clockwise ?

I presume this is a "stinger" pump, so it would turn CCW looking at the shaft.

If the pump is mounted on the front bolster (front casting) it will (as noted) turn CCW looking at the shaft end. If it is hooked to the PTO it will also turn CCW looking at the pump shaft (not the PTO shaft). Jim
