Carb adjustment

My carb is out of adjustment on my Farmall 140. If I screw down the adjustment screw all the way down. How many turns back out would be a good starting place to start fine tuning the carb.

Thats the idle mixture just for idle. Only other ajustment is for idle speed on throttle shaft.

Hi I start with the idle mixture screw turned in then back out 1/2 turn. I restore carbs for a living and if you can't get it right I can help. Call 530-227-9479 CA. Time. Dan.

Dan, why would the carb on my M stay wet all the time at the bottom of the throat. The needle valve is sealing. I noticed other day when it was leaking worse the fuel was coming from above, not the high speed jet. It now only stays wet, not leaking every where. It is rebuilt and new float. I tried it all. Lots of black smoke at idle and it runs with a little surge and just not smooth enough, no matter how I tune it. Thanks
