Substitute for 362757R1 Air cleaner hose (super A)?

Anyone know of a good substitute to the subject hose that will work with the OEM Wittek Tower hose clamps?

I tried a 1.5"ID radiator hose and the wall thickness is too much. It will install and work without the clamps, but not WITH the clamps.

I also have some clear plastic fibre-glass braid re-inforced clear tubing that will work, but looks WAY out of place on the tractor.

Anyone know of a decent OEM look-alike hose I can order? I don't need the whole-tractor hose kit with clamps, etc. that this site sells for $43. I just need the 1.5" ID by 1.75" long air cleaner hose itself.

Use the correct stuff, as radiator hose will swell up over time from gasoline fumes and gas puked out of the carb.

What is the "correct stuff"? And where do I get it?

NAPA auto parts used to have that hose in 3' lengths. They will cut off and sell just what you need. Maybe they still have it. It would be worth your time to go see.

The 1 1/2 hose is the correct stuff you need to get your clamps opened up more or else buy new ones. Put an exhaust expander in the old clamp they are hard to open up very much

Ask the parts guy to look at the "fuel filler inlet hoses". They will stand up to gas and come in short pieces with large diameters. May not work with your clamps though.

It is all the same stuff. All made from the same material.

As I said, rad hose does not fir the OEM clamps. I've tried. No Go.

I can order larger clamps from Steiner, if not other solution presents.

I got some more info from the Case dealer. Aparently, 362757R1 is now obsolete and Case-IH recommends dealers order 407003R1 in 3 foot lengths and cut sections to length (1.75" per tractor).

The problem is my dealer won't order it unless I buy the whole 3 foot roll at $42 plus shipping to get a 1.75" section.

More and more I'm thinking I'll use some adjustable pipe clamps on rad hose and call that "good enough".

Thanks, but I don't have an exhaust expander.

That's what I did on my 140. Thirty-five years later (give or take) it's doing fine. NAPA rad hose.
