Hi, I recently got an F 12 that was unlocked and had been sitting inside for a while. I went to try to pull start it and found out that the clutch won't disengage the transmission when I push the pedal in. Is this an easy fix, or will I have to tear into the clutch to fix it? Thanks

I have a Ford 4000 that had a stuck clutch. I read advice on this site. Spray brake cleaner on the clutch disc. (Pulled the starter each time) I put a small vacuum hose over the straw that came with the can and duct taped it so i could stick it right on the PP and flywheel. I would soak it and then start the tractor in gear. Alterenated jamming the brakes and after two days and 12-15 tries it broke loose. I keep the pedal tied down now.

The F series are notorious for sticking clutches, to the point some recommend blocking the clutch pedal down in storage. Good thing is they are incredibly easy to service, take the coupler off and remove the rear of the bell housing. Take the clutch assembly apart and clean it. You may find a mouse nest in there, that can ruin an assembly but you can usually clean them up and put them right back in service.
