Help Valuing My Father's Tractors/Farm Equipment

Hello Everyone,
I was hoping that someone here could help me put a value on my father's farm equipment to sell or direct me to someone who can. My Dad passed away at the end of June and left me his two tractors, a rake, and a cutting machine. Dear Dad was being kind to me but I have no use for them at all so will have to sell. This is what I have (according to my brothers):
Farmall Super C (from 1950's)
Farmall 300 (which I think is from the 50's too)
#7 John Deere Mowing Machine (connected to Super C)
Older Haying Rake
The two tractors were running 2 years ago. The Super C was been kept in a shed and the 300 has been out in a field. The 300 didn't start easy and I think my Dad left it in the field because he couldn't get it started.
Any help you can give me would be so appreciated!

The location will help folks estimate prices. also would help to get the C out of the shed for pictures and pull the rake clear of the grass
for a picture.

Hope this helps

Ron

Oops, yes, sorry -- I am completely new at this. The tractors are in Massachusetts. I will probably list them on Craig's List. It will take an act of God for me to get the tractor out of the shed and the rake pulled out of the weeds. Any opinion you have, even rock bottom, I would deeply appreciate and gives me a place to start.

Get the tractors running and they will be worth more. Pull the rake out where it can be seen, someone may be interested. Hal

300 running 2300 300 not running 1500 Super C with those tires not weather cracked 2000, if cracked and flat 1200. Rake 150 if workable 200 if good. 50 if toast. Mower 150 to 200 is serviceable, 75 if parts. Jim

Think twice about selling all of them. Many people go thru great pains trying to find & repurchase their dad's tractor years after selling it. I'd keep the C. Find a place to keep it out of the weather, do some research on how to best set it up for long term storage, and re-think about it later in life, or see if your kids / grand kids would like it.

My son now has a tractor from each of his grampas and is darn proud of that fact. One's a C, the other is a 400 that is a work in process.

The equipment is in north central Massachusetts.

Those prices are about right in my area too.
Both have Fast-Hitches, so don't give them away, they'll sell at a fair price...patience

plus one on thinking about keeping at least one of them.
Once they are gone....they are gone...and all you'll have is some cash...which will also end up...gone.
I've had tractors a long time, my son...zero interest.
But now that he is getting to be an old man..that is changing...and my grandson who is entering his teens has a huge interest in old tractors....
think about it before you do anything.

?Would be very interested in your Super C. give me a reply and I will send you my No. or send me yours Thanks, and good luck with everything,

I tried to PM you but it was disabled and there is no email address on your profile.

If there's any chance you see of ever wanting a tractor I'd keep that fasthitch Super C. Its the handiest thing you could have and it was old dads

Agreed. Given how simple they are to work on even a few hundred dollars to get them running well enough to drive onto a trailer could easily mean $1500 to $2000 more for the two of them.

Never noticed when I looked at that Super C before, wide front end and looks like front wheel weights, frt weights look cool and usually sell for about $150.00, wide frts. are popular for some reason and might be worth $4 or 500.00. I'd rather have a narrow frt. If you sell it don't give it away, there a nice little tractor, wouldn't take up much room in the garage, better keep it.

Might be interested in the 300, have any small general aviation airports close by to you ? Could fly up to take a closer look !

In this area, central Texas: 300- $2500 if it runs and drives and 800-1000 if it doesn't. C- $2500 running and 1200 not running
with the mower. I would leave the mower with the C as a package. The rake, if it works and has most of the teeth would bring 400-
500. They are still popular around here.

Definately worth the time to get them running.
Agree that the wide front and fast hitch make the C desirable and it would likely sell before the 300. Easy for people to trailer
to shows and use on small acreage. That said, a good 300 is a very useful machine and the fast hitch on yours looks to be in good
shape and I see a T/A handle on there too.

If you do want them is their any chance of any family members that are interested. I hate to see a tractor leave a family cause they rarely come back.

To everyone who helped me with this tractor dilemma -- you have my complete appreciation and gratefulness for your honesty. This morning I gave the tractors to my brothers and told them that they should think about hanging on to them and keeping them in the family. I feel like I've done the right thing and thank you all for helping me see that. Take care and God bless!

That's great! That lil few extra bucks wasn't gonna help ya much and you woulda just felt guilty for selling/spending the cash. Good for you, your Dad is smiling.
