Replacing a clutch on a 3414 gas.

As title states I am trying to replace a clutch on a
3414 which is kind of an odd duck. I really could
use some info from someone who has done this. I
bought a manual that I thought would cover it but
did not.

Can I pull the engine out of the frame upward or do
I unhook the rear axle and pull the transmission
back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Jason

Just seperate engine from bell housing where clutch roll either end back after securing other end supporting as needed

Hi, if it has a front end loader, most likely you will have to remove the loader and loader frame. Then split at bell housing and either roll front forward or rear backward. Drive wooden wedges between front axle and bolster to prevent engine part from tipping. Depending on if tractor has PTO or not it maybe a single stage clutch or a dual clutch. The dual clutches require special setup before reassembly.

A 3414 is a different beast. It has a unit frame around the tractor beyond a loader frame. I am really hoping to find someone who has done a clutch on a 3414. I do appreciate the comments and have done some splits it is just that this one is odd.

I am doing this from memory, there is a pin coming in from front of tractor that has a head on it held in with two bolts that goes into a bracket on front of motor it pivots on. Support motor pull pin and unbolt bracket from front of motor should give enough room to pull motor

(quoted from post at 01:20:48 08/31/15) Ooooo. I will look. That sounds encouraging. I will take a look. I was hoping it would go up and out of the cage.

I know this is a little old post,,l did you ever get your engine out to replace clutch, i just pulled mine apart,,
