Dt 466 oil pressure fluctuation

I posted on the combine forum, and was advised to also ask here.On a DT466 in a 1660 combine the oil pressure is fluctuating around 5psi at operating temperature at high idle.We checked with a manual gauge as well as the dash gauge-both are the same.We inspected the regulator and it was smooth and free;the oil is clean and filters were changed recently. The consensus from the combine guys is these engines are hard on rod bearings due to the high rpm they operate at.Has anyone seen this pressure fluctuation before? Think we should look at the rod bearings?
Second question-the gauge sender is on left side of the engine, and there are 2 senders on the right rear,1 with single terminal is for the light, what is the 2 terminal one for? Thanks,Mark.

Not sure about the combines, but on my Hough loader it powers the hour meter, could power anything only when there is oil pressure, such as fuel pump.

The two wire is for the hydraulic controls. It prevents the hydraulic valves from being actuated unless the engine is running.

That makes sense-I actually wondered if it could be that, just did not test to see.How about the oil pressure fluctuation, has anyone seen that? Thanks,Mark.

how much pressure is it holding at idle hot and full throttle hot,if there in the normal pressure ranges then it sounds like an air leak in the suction tube to pump causing it to cavitate or something is going wrong the pump, if it were the bearings pressure will decrease at a steady rate at high speed as the oil warms, the pressure will fluctuate at low idle sometimes from the surges of oil as the pump pumps slowly

The oil pressure may be lower than last year.not exactly sure how much, but it was around 65psi on the manual gauge. It fluctuates around 5 or more psi at high idle;just wondering which direction to look first. Thanks,Mark
