Tractor pulling

I have a small intrest in tractor pulling and I bleed IH.I collect pre 39 tractors.A member in our local club recommended a Farmall H.If I do this I want to be competitive.Can anyone give me some advice

Jimmy, my experience is rather limited, but I'll tell you that I see a lot of H's and M's pulling and winning. it is all about weight and HP.

I pull my F30 for fun, and part of the issue is HP per weight. If I get it heavy enough to bite the track, I get outclassed in HP. If I keep it light enough to be competitive from a HP perspective, I spin out. sigh. I still have fun though.

H's and M's can be cranked up pretty good from a HP perspective, and you can get them pretty light as well. There are many factors as well. The driver means a lot to read track conditions and where to run the sled. In any case, it can be fun...........and REALLY $$$$ if you get into it.
 
I have a super H it always beats H's I pull Div 2 Natpa the carb is to small for stock. H unless u go Div 3 and change carbs
