Farmall 656 loader hydraulics

What would be the best way to plumb A farmall 656 for a front end loader.Loader is a International 2000 with it's own valve.Or is putting a loader on this tractor not practical because of it's limited hydraulic capacity.Tractor has two rear remotes, just wondering if it would be better to use the factory scv's to control loader.Or tee into pressure line somewhere.I realize either way I'll still be limited by the tractors hydraulic pump capacity.Thank's.

I always used a pto pump on my 560's and 806. To each their own. The loader has its own reservoir this way.

I have a loader on my 560 and just used the tractors hydraulics. If you are worried about hooking up equipment cylinders then you can plum in shut-off valves to the loader so you can raise and lower an implement. A PTO pump will work too, if you don't do any PTO work. That is not an option for me.

Good Luck

Just hook it to one of the aux valve and lock the lever. Reason being is that the return oil on a 656 goes from aux valve right back into the suction tube in final drive via a pipe and hose. If you plumb it into line before aux valve and return it to just dump in rear system will cavitate more. If your tractor has a factory three point hitch it has it's own separate pump mounted piggy back on the main pump. When not raising the hitch, the oil from that pump contributes to the aux valve flow. So, 12 gal main pump (taking 3.5 gal off for power steering priority) delivers 8.5 gal and hitch pump delivers 7 so total of 15 gal per minute at rated engine speed. Not all that bad. If you have standard drawbar, loaders are slow. I have put larger pump in that case though and worked out good. That way the flow through filter is close to the same as tractor with hitch pump.

Thank's to all who replied. It does have factory 3ph.Sounds like what pete 23 said is the way to go.
