On the crankshaft pulley there are three marks, two close together and one by itself. When you are turning the engine in the correct direction is the first of the two close ones the top dead center mark? Thanks in advance.

Of the two marks that are close together, the first one to come around in the normal direction of rotation, is top dead center. One by itself is to grease the PILOT bearing in the flywheel (yes, pilot bearing, not throw out bearing on clutch) . Now, I don't have the FACT sheet here to back that up and don't know how to post that information if I did have it so some will argue with me I am sure.

Yup, agree with pete, if you look up in the drip hole at the bottom of the bell housing with a flashlight, you will see the grease zerk there.

sn't the first of the 2 that comes around Before TDC, and the second TDC?

No. Second one is about 5 degrees after tdc. I always time a magneto impulse to trip at the second to come around mark to be safe. Mags have too much spark advance for modern compression ratios anyway. If you feel the crank shaft position you can pretty well tell the so called dead spot where piston does not move up or down, and it will be just before tdc and just after tdc and that second mark will be just about dead on to where you can feel piston start to move. A dial indicator in cyl will verify which mark is tdc and I have had a jillion of them apart over last 60 years.

that's like the grease fitting under the bell housing of a early 2000 models of 2500 chevy with a 4 speed transmission it was to grease the pivot point ball for the clutch throw out fork,i got a used company truck that the clutch pedal was always hard to press in form the time I got it until the clutch wore out, field mechanic found the pivot ball worn so far into the fork we couldn't understand how it moved, reckon the grease worms eat it up as it didn't appear to have ever been greased
