M Wiring Mess!

I bought a M from a man that he bought to restore and gave up on! What I am having a problem with is it does not have any wires hooked any where. The generator is in a box the amp meter gauge is in the panel not hooked up. The on off switch has 2 wires cut off hanging on it. I have a new Harness loom that has a big Blue wire a Yellow wire and a small Black wire in it taped to the gas line and Temp gauge. I have a Voltage Regulator in a box that has 3 side post stamped from left to right L, BAT, F, and then there is one on the underside, what or where do they hook to? The Tractor has a Magneto on it with a broken choke cable hanging on the side of it! The starter has a cable on top lug that goes to the push button switch, and a ground cable fasten to the starter mount bolt and a + battery cable that goes to the push starter button switch! How do I hook it all together to make it charge and shut off? Thanks!

go to the search box at the top of the page and enter m farmall wiring diagram you should be able to locate one in the post it shows

This has the diagrams it does not have loom description. Wire it with a color code and nothing smaller than 14 gauge wire. Use 10 gauge for the Gen output and amp gauge to starter switch, and other highcurrent wires. use 00gauge for Bat to ground and Bat to start switch and start switch to starter, Jim

If its 6 volt the battery is backwards it should be pos. ground(at least all the 6v tractors here are),neg. post goes to switch. The ground should be as close to starter as possible(hence the mounting bolt). The rest of starter wiring sounds right to me.

That cable on the mag is the kill, pull to kill.(SEE LINK)

Voltage reg labels are L(load-say lights)Batt(Battery)and F(Field-for generator?) the one down under is likely a ground. Not sure on this so verify before hooking up.

This is all I can help with not to familiar with wiring.
Does your mag have this?

The broken cable went to a slide sw on the mag to kill it its spring loaded so the mag will fire when the slide sw is moved it will ground the mag thus stoping engine. You can remove that sw and use a wire to a switch they used in later models for a mag do not put batt volts on that terminal as the sw will ground it when pushed in and engine will strt and run with the new sw pulled out it only has one wire from the sw.
