Curious case of engine kits?

I'm sitting down getting ready to order an engine kit for my A and ran into something curious. On this site and others you can order a piston & sleeve set, bearings (rods and mains) and a full gasket set separately for less then the comprehensive kits. Not just a few bucks but $40 or more dollars depending on the site.

Same parts as far as I can tell.

Am I missing something here?

You are right, I didn't mean to say Comprehensive though. I meant the Basic Overhaul kit.

It's really not a big deal I just found it curious. I'll probably just buy the parts like I listed above and save a few dollars. I foudn it interesting that it cost more as a kit that's all, usually you save a few bucks buying complete kits vs. just the parts.
