I'm well on with the restoration of my WD9 [ head welded , replacement pistons and liners etc. ] although if anyone has a set of standard size mains , I would like to hear !!

My question is about the ignition system. I have restored a 1948 with a magneto which was grounded by the change over mechanism. My 1952 coil ignition has a switch fitted to 'turn off ' the ignition. I suspect this is a farmer mod but does anyone have a pic of the control layout of one like mine so that I can get it right !

And I'm still looking for the standard distributor drive housing so that I can get rid of the hydraulic pump..........

Many thanks.

If your tractor is a late 1952 it could have come with battery ignition and live hydraulic, It would b e wired from push pull switch to intake manifold switch to coil. I have a standard drive I would sell if you want to get ride of the hydraulic pump.

Thanks for the replies.

WOpp first. Yes I would be interested in the drive assembly as the hydraulics are farmer fit too. Not sure how I contact you privately though? Also, any chance you could let me have a pic of where the switch should go and what it's like?

tractorguy2. It's not the distributor I want thanks , just the drive gear and casting. Thanks anyway
