Fast Hitch Conversion.

I posted this on the Case board and thought I would show it here too. I welded Case eagle hitch latches to a pair of fast hitch bars. I can now hitch up to any category one implements that I have around here.

So how do I get myself a couple of
these? Case Eagle you call them? Only at
the Case IH dealer ? About how much $
for a pair? Thanks, Hugh

I found a set of eagle hitch lift arms on a junk tractor. The latch parts (movable parts) were missing on this set. I bought those parts from John Saeli on the Case tractor board. He has a Case parts store in N.Y. The latch parts cost around $130.00 for both sides.

(quoted from post at 15:04:45 08/02/15) Is there a top link on that thing?

Any top link that is the right length will work. I will use a Case top link that came with one of my Case 400s. There is a place on the tractor to attach it to. Just thought of something. As far as I know the two point hitch didn't need the top link. Why is there a set of holes on this 340 for a top link?

The top link is so you can use 3pt stuff, instead of the drawbar the is using.
Also, in my limited experience, you can not just use any top link that is long enough. have tried with a backblade on my 300U and would not lift in time with the bottom. I was using a chain as I have no top bar that long. I had to build and mount an adapter in the top block to get lift on the blade.

I used a back blade on this tractor last winter. I had a set of bars with the ball type hole on it like you see on todays three point arms. It didn't lift the blade as far as I'd like it to, but it worked out okay.

Thank you very much for all that
information. I have imagined something
like this would be a great invention,
and somebody beat me to it! I can't wait
to outfit my 460 with this trick setup.

Do you by chance have a better picture of how your stabilizer arm hooks to your quick attaché arm? My attachment eye bolt just broke. But they eye bolt pice looked rigged and not factory anyways. Thanks

The eye bolt was gone when I bought the tractor. Someone replaced it with a few chain links. I'm planning on making a new one in the near future.
