Wiring the old F-20

I printed out the #4 wiring diagram, from a Post by Jim, with a link to Bob's Wiring Diagrams. The one difference that I have is that I have a three post regulator, instead of the two post cutout.
I assume that I still connect the F terminals to one another.
That the A terminal should go to the gen. terminal on the regulator.
In Bobs diagram he has the ammeter getting the power from the battery and then going to the BAT. terminal of the cut out. Would that wire go to the BAT. terminal of the regulator instead of the cutout?
I do have lights to wire and so I assume the rest of the diagram is going to be exactly what I need.

Thank you
Steve

Yes the batt wire will go to the reg terminal marked BATT the rest you have down pat. You can wire the lite sw off the ameter with fuse of course.

Whatever gen you are using make sure the reg is for that gen there is a difference this site is full of problems with regs cause not all fits all they do need to be matched and got from a parts store who know their stuff and no TSC ect junk.

Unfortunately for me, I am assuming that this generator and regulator are the correct ones. They came with the tractor, but so did a gas tank and a carb., that were for a different tractor.
Thank you Gene

I beg to differ on that. On a former H I had, the regulator was shot after many points cleanings and adjusting. I replaced it and it seems like that one didn't last long either. I had a brand new 6 volt mopar regulator that I saw no other use for so I built a bracket to fit on the valve cover bolts. Wired it up & it charged just fine for many years & was still working without being touched when I sold the H.
