Will look at buying a 1957 Farmall 450 LP with a three bottom rollover plow. Wide front end, two point hitch, good TA, recent repaint, and good operating condition. A mechanic is going over it right now to be sure everything is operating correctly. Always loved 450s but not sure what would be a reasonable price range just for the tractor. Any idea about the value of the tractor alone, plow alone, or combination of plow and tractor. Owner wants to sell so I think he will entertain reasonable offers. I've check Tractor House prices but the range seems wide for tractors of dubious quality and the quality tractors are either over priced or "call for price". I'm not a low baller but I'm not plugged into antique Farmall pricing these days. Does the LP help or hurt the price? I don't have any LP tractors but do have a 500 gal LP tank with the new fittings that can be used for fueling. This tractor would be used on the ranch for light work in my hay operations but no heavy tillage or pulling. Thanks for any suggestions.
