W9 hand clutch parts

I'm looking for hand clutch parts for my 1949 W9 tractor. Can't find any info. The part I'm looking I think is called a clutch brake. I'm not sure that is the right name for it.[/img]

howard, i am looking at my parts manual for the 9 series and the wr-9 also. they show an over center hand clutch on the rice tractors, but i cannot see that disk on any of the pics. the hand clutch just operated the linkage for the standard clutch. what i am thinking is you have an m+w baling type clutch on your 9, that will dis-engage the drive while keeping the pto turning. kind of a poor mans live pto . i think nebraska kirk is the go to guy for the m+w bailing clutches.

page 154 in parts manual. That is the correct part # for over center clutch brake. It may be impossible to find. There is a company in Oregon called friction products that could make new linings for you. They would need your old ones for a pattern.

Howard- You can purchase clutch & Brake material from McMaster Carr and rivets from hardware store. Cut out the material using your original as a guide. Simple brake/clutch riveting tool can be purchased from places like nnalert etc. for about $30. It takes a little time but you can make for yourself what is otherwise unavailable. (I am working on a SWDR9 that has disk brakes. I haven't got to them yet but I expect I will be making them just like this). Good luck. John
