Good morning! Yup, I've lurked.

Months back when you posted I was having intermittent modem problems; that is what it was traced to. My feelings are that I shouldn't be doing personal stuff on the puter @ work. The thought of replying to you usually happened then or when I was counting sheep.

I have a gas leak at the shutoff valve on one of my Farmall 340's, and it would be the one parked in the garage attached to the house. Wow, what an odor. I had tightened the nut, earlier in the week, called the IH dealer I frequent and looked in the parts book this a.m from that info, no washer is in there but me thinks I recall viewing posting on here regarding a type of packing 'thread' in there. We've go miserable humid weather hanging around and I need to do some 'shady weeding and yard work. Hope you are Carol and well and soaking up some summer air conditioning.
 
Hi Al and glad to know you are doing well even if the garage has an odor of 340 gas. I took my restored Farmall 240 and my recently restored McCormick No. 11 fast hitch hay rake to the Sedalia 2015 RPRU last month which seemed to gather some attention. I believe there was only one other Farmall 240 there along with a couple Utility models. I had a couple of photos taken and will mail you one when I get some printed off the originals.
Carol and I will be at the Half Century Farm Progress show in Rantoul, Illinois during the last week in August if you care to make a trip down to that show which is near Champaign, Illinois. If you feel up to a trip to that show send me an email (my email is open) and I'll provide the dates and where we will be staying along with contact information so we can spend a little time together. Hope you can make it as it would be nice to see you again and if not maybe the 2016 RPRU in Union Grove, Wisconsin next June might work out as well. Take care and thanks for the response, Hal.
