A while back i posted about my 340 utility dieing out after a while and then starting right back up. It would die out if working hard. Through the excellent advise here, after replacing coil, the problem was found. A semi-blocked passage in carb and a float set inaccurately. Had a reputable carb guy look at it. No charge. Gave him a ham and we were both pleased. Thanks to all.

Hi Mark,
I just bought a '59 340 Utility gas and it stops after working hard, just as you described. Could you please tell me which carb passage was semi-blocked? Could you also tell me how to set the float accurately? This is my first tractor, and it's working well, except for this issue.

Any/all help is appreciated.
