806 rims - only 4 bumps??

I had to get new tires on my '63 International 806. Now that the new tires are on the rims, and the rims and hubs are painted, I am confused about how to mount them.

Specifically, the rims have two ridges (for mounting at different extensions) and each ridge has only 4 "bumps", rather than all the way around the rim. Why is this, and what is the correct procedure for mounting? I have an engine lift that I plan to use to hold them at the right height.

You have to find the 4 wedges that are different than the rest those stay tightened then set the 4 bumps on those then put the rest of the wedges on and tighten even.
 
THANK YOU! I was wondering why some of the wedges were diffrent! I figured it was just a screwup.

Do you think I should start with those bumps at the top or bottom or no matter?
 
I changed tires on my 806 last year and found that if I used a skid loader and a chain it worked really slick. Put about a third of the tire into the bucket and block it so it can't roll. wrap a chain around the top third of the tire to the top of the bucket and pick it up. You can move it around nicely and not snap off the valve stem.
 
Just set the bumps on the wedges. Then get the rest on you will have to tip the rest of the wedges as you put them in. You can have about 3 of the wedges on the casting so it will set there . Then you can just pull or pry the tire in or out to fit. If you are setting for 30 inch rows. The casting wants to be dished out with the rim on the outside rib. Another words the outside edge of the casting is curved out.
 
They normally have only two different wedges. They have a flat back and are installed 90 degrees apart on the driver lugs (bumps). If they have four it makes it more difficult to get wheel to run straight. If no fluid in tires it is a simple one man and jack job. Just get out of my way and let me do it. With ballast in tires that is a different ball game.
 
I just installed the rims. Indeed, I had two of the "different" clamps per wheel. I attached them to the inner bumps. I am just about to get all the other clamps in.
I used a strap around the rim and lifted into place with a form on my skid steer while a friend helped position the rim. It worked pretty well.
 
I installed the two plain wedges on the inner two drive bumps- so they are only 30 degrees apart. I guess I should move them to the outer bumps so they are 90 degrees apart. Thanks.
