IHC Farmall 100 Balanced Head Mower HOW TO REMOVE BAR

I just bought a IHC Farmall 100 Balanced Head Mower and I want to replace some sections. But I can't figure out how to remove the sickle. This should be easy, and I'm sure it is for everyone who has done it once, but I can't seem to be able to solve the mystery. Can anyone help with this? :?:

At the bottom of the bar,the sickle is attached with a pin to the arm-the pin drops thru the arm and is held into the arm with a pinch bolt. The arm sets above the sickle and the pin goes thru both;the pin has a grease fitting on it's topside-loosen,and remove the pinch bolt, and lift the pin out.You will also have to loosen the hold downs that keep the knife flush with the guards.Push the sickle out under the mower with a bar so you don't slip and get cut.Hope this helps.Mark

While you are at it, make yourself a "hook" to pull the sickle out with, after you have pulled the pin out. When the pin is out, rotate the balanced head a little so it is out of the way, ahead, of the head of the sickle. We made ours out of 5/8" round rod. Bend about a 2" hook in one end to fit in the head of the sickle, then go back about 4 feet or so, then bend yourself a handle on the other end. This end is at a 90 degree to the hook on the other end.

This way you can set on your butt, or get on you knees, reach in with the puller, and snag the end of the sickle, and pull it out without banging you head, or skinning up your knuckles.

I've always pulled it or replaced it while the mower is mounted and raised (fast hitch) with the bar upside down (in transport position). Sometimes if it doesn't pull out easily I'll prop up the opposite end a bit to take the curve out then it pulls easier.

Thanks Mark and everyone who answered so fast. I don't quite understand about the pin. I have removed the pinch bolt, but do I then lift the pin with the grease fitting upwards? Should I pry it up with a screwdriver? There doesn't seem to be any room to drop the bar down.
