I've got an International 4166 sitting in the yard, runs and drives great but needs work on the hydraulics. It doesn't have a 3pt hitch nor PTO. I'm wondering if it's possible to add them and at what cost / what it
involves. Ideally, I need a smaller acreage tractor with backhoe for all around jobs (digging, pushing snow / dirt, mowing, tilling, towing attachments, installing posts, etc). Not sure if trying swapping the 4166 with
a smaller all-rounder would be a better idea.
 
It is possible to add those things but unless you happen to find a complete set up from a tractor in a salvage yard it will be a major undertaking. You will need to call around to those yards to find out what is available and how much they want for all the parts.
 
I believe that the only PTO offered in those tractors was a 1000rpm unit. It may not be compatible with the implements that you are thinking of using.
