I have this mag on a C Allis. I don't have an Allis book but it's an IHC mag. It ran a dozen years ago so I know it WAS ok and it's been shedded. Now I get no fire. Any idea how to get to the points on this? gm

Put it on TDC #1, Take off the cap and mark the location of the rotor. If the mag clicked when approaching TDC that is OK. Remove the rotor and its shaft/gear, and the plate behind the rotor There are the points setting is .013" Jim

Why would you need to put it on TDC? As long as you remove the part with the 3 screws, the rotor timing stays the same. Don't remove the little plate with the 2 screws. Clean the points & check for spark from the coil wire.

Remove the cap and rub the points with a point file. Then see if you have to your spark-plugs. If there's no fire
touch your mag's magnets with a flat blade screw-driver. If there's weak attraction your magnets probably need recharging by a repair shop that repairs mags. Hal
