Clutch issue on my 1066

For the past two seasons, the clutch on
my 1066 has been strange. It gets to
the clutch point and starts to go, and
when you let it the rest of the way
out, the tractor lurches forward like
something else just engaged. I have
checked and greased the throwout
bearing, but that had no effect. Is it
possible that this is in the TA? It
only seems to do this in the high side
of the TA

You need to adjust the dump valve. What is happening is called double shift. When you let out the clutch you are starting out in low side of TA and then as you let it farther out the dump valve closes and it shifts to Direct drive. You need to turn the adjustment out so that the direct drive engages before the clutch starts to pull the tractor. I your red light works, adjust so red light goes out before you start to move. If no red light working you will have to play it by ear. I you go too far it will not roll back when you disengage clutch and that will make it hard to get out of gear.

Thank you. Will give it a try. I had the mcv off a couple years ago to replace the pump. Is it possible that having that apart is related?
