Packing nut H carb

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the packing nut and needle for an H carborator, mine is leaking and the nut is completely stripped into a circle. I found just the needle in "comprehensive" carb rebuild kits for like $75...

I saw yesterdays tractors has a fuel solonoid for sale, it looks the same would that work??

is it a standard size piece I could get at my local hardware store?
If I have to I can go to the nearest dealer 2 1/2 hrs one way.

Any help is appreciated.

Neither part are standard hardware store items, they are made specifically for a carb.

I would say your best bet is to look on ebay or the classified ad section on this site for a used carb to use for parts, or place a want ad and I bet you will get several guys to respond with carbs to sell.

Or you can contact any one of the numerous salvage yards across the country and buy a carb from them to use for parts.

Awesome, I'll just order that then. The part that says "fuel solonoid is unreliable and replaces that with manual valve" threw me off.
