Testing 460 hydraulic pressure

Okay, still sorting out my 460 lp and its hydraulic system. I have
finally got a good cylinder on the fast hitch thanks to kub40,but I
still don't have the ability to lift anything more than the weight of
the hitch. I am depressed! How do you go about testing the hydraulic
pressure on this beast? Thanks, Hugh

If I remember right, there should be a plug in the square cover on the left side of the torque tube where the hydraulic pump is mounted, the forward plug is to check psi in the steering circuit, and rear one is for the three point/remotes system. Just take the plug out and thread in a psi gauge or hose to one. Then fire it up and see what she says. You can also put a flow meter on it as well, either using a remote if you have one or hooking it onto the lines for the 3-point lift to see what she has for flow while you are at it. Could be plugged filter, stuck check valve, bad pump, etc.
