I was making a pin to go into the rock shaft arm out of a 1/2" bolt; i was using my grinder and drill. when cutting the bolt to length the sparks set my t-shirt on fire. the resulting fire burnt a hole in my shirt and a second deg. burn on me.

I got hit in the ribs by a 9" grinder that kicked back on me.Went through 5 layers of clothing before it got to ME. Felt like I'd
been hit with a baseball bat.

All happen fast and hurt afterward! The company I work for requires, and furnishes all cotton shirts and pants. Cotton really doesn't flame up, and it will not melt like synthetics.

Old dry worn thin cotton will burn like paper..lol. Done it plenty times when welding, haha. Over head welding being the worse. And, it usually gets to burnin pretty good before ya actually realize what's happening. Be careful guys, lol.

I've had a couple of 8 inch wheels let go on me. I have a saxophone grinder, it's about the size of a sax, but it really tears things up! Haven't used it in 30 years, don't plan too.
