I may have a chance at a farmall M. NF nothing real special about it. Excellent paint and tires. Has ignition/carberation problems. I'm in central il. What's it worth?

To me, $1000. That is probably a little low in most places, but, I paid $500 for one with a stuck engine, loader, wfe, power steering. And I paid $200 for one with a nf, turning engine, plain tractor.

I think $1000 is about right....

If the REAR tires are excellent, and are a MATCHING pair, then the tires alone will place the value right at $1,000.

I'd go with that 1000. Here in NEKS that would be about right. The M that I bought several years ago I paid $800 for. Power steering and live hydraulics on a newer rebuild. Rotten rear tires. I paid $800 and haven't even changed the points on it or adjusted the carb.

If the tires and rims are good to excellent that is a big deal. Run of the mill M's seem to bring $1000 to $1500 around here. If you are positive that the only issue with the engine is ignition or carburation I would think it would be worth around $1500. If it was running good with excellent tires and straight tin it would bring $1500 to $2000 around here. I bought an M a few years ago that needed tires and rims. I ended up with over $2000 in just the new rims and tires.

Thanks yes all the tires are all matching and all four in excellent shape. I sell tires so I do know what I got there but don't have any farmall. I think an m would be a good horse but didn't know where to start thanks again for all the help.

In the north east, M's seem to get more than $1000. Super M's are even higher. The cheapest Super M I've seen was for $2500 in excellent running condition and it was only that low because it needs a set of rear tires, rims were good.
Most straight M's I see in running condition with good tires go for $1500 minimum.

Agreed. I'm not sure where some of you guys are shopping, but I need to start looking there! I haven't seen a junk M under $1500. Most are in the $2000-2500 range.
