Farmall 460 TA Adjustment

My son an I are finishing up the restoration of a very late 62' 460 G. We looked on youtube on how to adjust the TA. We think we have it adjusted right. The TA shaft that engages the TA vibrates bad, this is obviously not good. The TA has been rebuilt. Is there an adjustment we are missing? If I push the clutch in or pull the TA lever back the vibration/rattle goes away. Before I tear into it, I'd better find some direction and/or advice. Thanks!

I take it that you mean the external shaft that you pull with the lever to engage low side of TA. It sounds like the release bearing is pulsing due to uneven fingers on the TA dry clutch. They can be adjusted from top side if that is the problem without tearing into the innards.

Release bearing must not touch clutch fingers. About 1/8th inch and that is part of the over all adjustment procedure measured at the slot in the clevis. Fingers should lay close to parallel to face of pressure plate and are all individually adjustable. Should have been adjusted previously but some things change when bolting together.
