The H runs great now that I got the wiring sorted out. So far, I think it runs better with the distributor than the mag. Thanks to all who chimed in on my previous post.

It was basically my lack of understanding how the system works, even after your valiant attempts to get me through the process. I had the wire from generator attached to the field resistor on the light switch instead of the connection at the fuse (labeled #1) Once I realized that you have to have a power source that in some way has to involve the ignition switch, I fixed it. Lights came on, and tractor started immediately. Runs nice too, distributor seems to be set right. Quite simple actually; just took awhile to register. Thanks for your time and patience. Bruce
