having problem with 2 out of 4 bolts that hold box to trans cover. got 2 out , other 2 are rounded off cant get a grip on them any tips.....thanks dewy

Weld a nut on the head. The heat into the bolt should loosen the bolt as well. Short welding rod or wire feed welder, but it is tight in there.

If that doesn't work, use a long cold chisel and big hammer. Once it is off you can weld a nut on it and back it out. The weld won't stick to the cast cover plate.

You might try heating the head red with a torch then use vise grips when it is cool, but if you can weld a nut on that is a sure cure even if you have to do it twice.

thanks Andy that gives me some choices,,,thanks again.....hey .when welding should i undo electrical, battery......dewy

I use a blue wrench and melt the heads off. The reason I was taking the tool box off was it was so rotten it needed replacing. I wasn't worried about damaging it.
Once the tool box was off I then welded a nut on the stub and they turned out easily.
