Belly pump leak

Is there a certain place where a belly pump cracks with old age or whatever,I have one with a slow leak, i am almost scared to take it down to Look at it ??

Found them cracked where side openings thread in and at the weakest places if a loader is dropped faster than pressure will vent out of the housing. Also the gasket on back can fail or blow out. Most blow out of housings I found are at the front side.

Probably need to drop. Be nice to see where it leaks before that, but not always possible. Can leak at the operating lever shaft, fittings or as I mentioned the gasket on back surrounds some pressure ports.
Does it leak more when pressured or all the time?

This M has two live pumps on it, one stacked behind the other, with a upright distributor. One for the hyd cylinder and the other for the Power steering , the belly pump is just being used for a reservoir, but that main pump, has a lot of volume going thru it. And never has had a loader on it. I can see where the drip form's as is comes out of the crack between the belly pump and the tractor frame, but i am sure its coming out higher up! The old operating lever is removed. When the engine is off it doesnt leak.

Well the fill tube nipple, i guess it could be that too, I will take that out and Teflan tape that up too. And i know it isnt taped now.

Operating lever can be removed and the shaft still left in and leak there. Sometimes when the unit is gutted the operating shaft is removed and the hole threaded for piping. Don't know what you have? If leaking with use and housing is just a reservoir I would check the oil return fitting into the unit. Otherwise nothing else at the reservoir should have pressure running or not. Unless you have a setup to pressure the original internals in the unit.
