Need help on AC adaptor for this clock

Group,

Found this clock but missing the AC adaptor. can someone that has this clock verify the DC voltage that I need for it?

Thanks

If that is a neon tube running around the perimeter, there needs to be a transformer that supplies high voltage for its operation. Other than that I do not know the answer. Usually they operate on either a single AA battery, or 120 AC. Look at the motor, it might have a voltage tag. Jim

Clock has a AA battery. The neon tubes run off a 110V converted to a ??? DC current. I do not have the adaptor. That is what I am asking. If someone has the clock they would be able to tell me what the 110AC is converted to....

Thanks

Sam

A neon sign company will be able to either test it with a variable supply, or know the answer from its size. I believe they run on AC, requiring nothing but a transformer. Jim

Just went out and took some pics of the one I have hanging in my shop. Mine has a inline switch, but you can get one without and just plug/unplug when you want to use it. Type the model # off the plug into Google and you will get results on where you can buy them.

I have one just like yours that the kids gave me new for some holiday and the transformer Voltage is 110-120 volts input and 12 volts DC out. My clock works yet but the flourecent light quit about 2 years after I got it. I tried another transformer off a clock that worked and the light flickered a little and ruined the other transformer. May be repairable but doesn't look good.

It may be a "shock" to you but I think those things are junk. Maybe not be that good of a bargin on a garage sale and a reason they go cheap sometimes. They sell new ones at TSC.
I had a little Flourecent light my Grandparents put in thier bathroom in 1956 and had it in the garage for a night light and just a month ago the bulb finally gave up. Maybe you will get lucky.cleddy
