Neighbor just brought home a model 47 wire tie baler he needs needles for. They are different needles than the twine tie. Does anyone know where some might be purchased?
Thanks

Reading this I feel I have asked before, but my memory is so bad I am not sure.

(quoted from post at 23:50:44 06/10/15) John, think I might have some of those needles. Will look in the morning and get back to you.
hanks, I believe the wire tie needles have rollers in the ends for the wire to run over rather than just a slot as the twine ties have.

They have the rollers and they cost $220 replace the larger one. I bought an entire parts baler for less and used one of the needles off of it two nights ago. I could only imagine the price of a "new" needle if such a thing can be purchased. The New Holland roller for their wire tie balers is $29 - but its too wide to use on the IH needles.
