Hello: Anybody ever use a front mount cultivator? I have a rear mount wheelchair lift on my tractor and have to have help un hitching implements. I'd like to just be able to get on and go cultivate. Also would a 460 have the cahonas for a 6 row cultivator? Thank you for any information!

I think a 460 will work but I like the idea of a 560 better. A 656 Hydro would be a great cultivator tractor.

A 460 will handle 6 row on flat ground ,I don't have any hills , the speed maybe a concern as 2cnd or 3rd maybe all it would do don't know we pulled 4 rows on the front of ours and barely knew they were there .

I cultivated thousands of acres with a 560 diesel and a 68 front mount 6-row cultivator with the fast-hitch rear scratchers. Most of the time I would run in fourth with the TA back and around 12-1500 RPMS. If the corn was small then I would be running much slower. The tractor had all the power it needed, and also having a 460 I do not see it having any problems as well. I do like running the rear scratchers, but have seen many people not using them. I also have a 1456 with a 12-row front mount cultivator. You really get the neighbors looking at you with that in the field. Have Fun!
